Dear Friends,

Hurricane Florence

Thank you to all who have helped financially or otherwise with Florence Relief. 

Michael Volmer, Calvary Baptist Church, New Bern, NC, has become eyes and ears for ORH.  He has traveled from city to city searching for individuals, organizations, and churches in need.  His help has been indispensable.  Pray for his safety.

Thank you so much Michael Peterson and workers from Friendship Baptist Church of Raleigh, NC, and Florence Baptist Temple, Florence, SC, for your efforts in Nichols, SC.  See the attached PDF.  Michael Peterson wrote the following

“Baptist Temple people were there (Florence Baptist Temple).  Town people jumped right in as well.  Even one of their officers was helping unload.  Town had ladies waiting to start unboxing items and organizing the items for distribution. By the time we finished people were already there leaving with supplies.  Very needy area….”

Pray for Liberty Baptist Church, Wilmington, NC, Pastor Gene Tilly.  The pastor’s home and church is damaged.  The pastor is unable to do the restoration due to a serious physical condition.  His church people are also struggling under the Florence impact.  He and his wife have been at the church for over 20 years.  See the attached PDF.

Identifying storm damage sites has developed slowly because the flood water did not recede quickly.  Many needs will come to light over the next few weeks when insurance is exhausted; sadly, by then people will not remember Hurricane Florence.  Please keep these people in your prayers and minds.
