Dear Friends,

Hurricane Florence and Michael

Thank God for Emmanuel Independent Baptist Church in Winchester, VA, Pastor Steve Rebert.  Once again his church has responded with workers.  Karl Steudl will be going to Hurricane Florence damage in Wilmington, NC.  He is a FEMA trained relief specialist.  He will be using his commercial dehumidifier to help people begin the process of drying-out their homes through Grace Baptist in Wilmington.

Thank God for Tabernacle Baptist Church in Virginia Beach, VA, Pastor James Baker.  This church has been a great encouragement through the many disasters.  A member of their church, Bob Bechtel, has made himself available to help restore homes.  Also, Tabernacle has sent a very generous gift to help pay for the costs of Florence and Michael interventions.

Thank God for Dave Spangler, Flyin 4 God, offering a hanger of food for the people in Michael.  Hillsdale Baptist Church will be sending a truck to move this food and water to Chris Carter.

Thank God for Eastland Baptist Church of Orlando for offering a work team to help those found by Chris Carter.  If your church can send a work crew for either Florence area or Michael area, it is needed.  Please email orhus@aol.com.

Chris Carter is moving out of Panama City and into areas more rural and with smaller towns.  Many of these small towns have been devastated by Michael.  Pray for his safety, and those whom he encounters.

Chris Carter reported that one church had services in the church yard.  They had visitors and a couple who joined the church.  Good things happen when churches extend into a hurting community.
