Ecuador Earthquake Update

Wednesday, May 11, 2016

Dear Friends,

Please read below a message from Sid Messer, missionary to Ecuador.  ORH was able to send $1000.00 for the earthquake in his ministry area.

“I wanted to express my gratitude again for the $1000 that was donated for Ecuador. It is allowing us to have some open doors to people we would have never met otherwise.

I've attached two documents. One is a list of where the money has gone. I've put an asterisk beside the ones which have receipts if you would like them scanned to you later.

I've also attached a small description of some of the people we've ministered to recently. I hope that will give you some idea of how the donations are being used for the glory of God.

Again, I appreciate your participation in spreading the gospel. The people are seeing first hand what mercy looks like. Thank you again for the help you've given.   For His glory,  Sid Messer Family , Missionaries in Ecuador  Eph 1:12”

Please download the PDF to see the work that Sid Messer is doing.  He is a good man in a difficult situation.  Please pray for him.  ORH has sent $1000.00, and hopes to send another $1000.00.  This is a great opportunity for ministry of the Gospel.

Sonogram for Buffalo Clinic

Monday, May 2, 2016

Dear Friends,

We want to thank Pastor Billy Gotcher of Trinity Baptist Church in Williston, VT for sending us information that a sonogram machine was available for donation.

Through their information, ORH was able to contact Jericho Road Community Health Center in Buffalo, NY.  This center operates to help the indigent, refugee, and poor of the community with health care, education, and spiritual help to honor Jesus Christ.  This NGO helps many thousands each year very much like a rescue mission would.

The center also has a mission in Serra Leone, Africa, which seeks to accomplish the same mission.  The center in Serra Leone also has many young ladies wishing to be trained in nursing.  Many years ago ORH started a second mission which follows the old teaching, “teach a man to fish, rather than giving him a fish.”  This was done by preparing teaching DVD’s that can be used in countries which might not have enough or any nursing training programs.  The Serra Leone clinic is our pilot program for this new phase of ministry with the Emergency Room skill-sets being taught.

We received this communication from Patrick Mellody, purchasing manager for Jericho Road.  Phebian in the greeting is the director of the Serra Leone clinic.

“Phebian and Jan, I have the two Nurse training DVD video packets that arrived here in Buffalo.  I gave them to Paul Violanti to personally carry down to Sierra Leone in March.  Jan, Thank you for this great effort to get these videos done for us and your desire to help Sierra Leone , lives will be saved and many locals that desire to be  Nurses will have a dream come true and allow them to help others and prosper!  God bless you all! Patrick Mellody.”

If this program of teaching works according to our hopes, it could open the doors of many countries to the work of ORH.

Again, thank you so much Pastor Gotcher for being willing to help ORH.
