Dear Friends,

Please read the full stories by hovering over the “click here”, hold down the “CTRL”, and then right click.  The full stories are informative and heart touching with great pictures.  These could be used by your church in a prayer time.

ALAN SUTPHEN – SOROTI, UGANDA

“Bro Jan,  below is a summary of the food assistance distribution, and several photos attached.  Thank you.

Since the lockdown was imposed in late March countrywide in Uganda many people who live in the town of Soroti and the surrounding villages have experienced food shortages. This is from both the lack of funds to purchase food and from a lack of food grown and harvested from their fields. Because of this multifactorial issue we at the Soroti Orphan Assistance Project (SOAP) have begun food purchase and distributions to the orphaned children at SOAP, as well as pastors from the surrounding area church-plants.

…We thank Operation Renewed Hope for providing the very generous $2,000.00 in funds to assist us in the purchase and distribution of this much-needed food. With the remaining funds we intend to repeat this aid program as the pandemic and lockdown continues here in Uganda.”

MATT STENSAAS – KASESE, UGANDA, AFRICA

Matt Stensaas sent the following message about the Covid 19 food distribution.  He is very encouraged by the work.

“Despite the lockdowns of transportation, church services, and public gatherings, God has been doing an incredible work.  Because of the love shown in giving food to people who are very desperate, God has opened many doors for the Gospel.  People have gotten saved and we are preparing for many new ministries once the lockdowns are lifted.”

MYANMAR (BURMA) – FOOD DISTRIBUTION THROUGH SAM STRICKLIN

David Sum, a good brother in Christ, lives in Myanmar.  He has been instrumental in establishing a Bible college for national pastors.  Sam Strickland is working with Brother
Sum to distribute food to the hungry.  Operation Renewed Hope sent $1000.00 for this effort.  Sam sent the following message Brother Sum.

“Dear Brother Sam,  Thank you so much for your great support for the extremely needy people in our country. I believe it is the Lord's doing. yesterday 50 "Iternally Displaced People" from Rakhine State, ran to Wat Ein Poh village, Hle Ku township. They are civil war victims. We will go and help them next week. I will surely send you the report with photos.  Thank you so much again for your self sacrificial support to our needy people. Every blessings, David”

Pray for ORH to be able to send $1000.00 more for this effort.

PHIL HUNT – FOOD DISTRIBUTION IN ZAMBIA

Phil Hunt is a missionary with great love for the people of Zambia.  ORH is challenged and blessed by his advancing ministry.  ORHPhil wrote the following to ORH.

“Dear Jan, It was a blessing to chat with you on the phone two weeks ago.  We have organized and are prepared to distribute the funds provided through ORH specifically to pastors and church planters who have been affected by this global pandemic.  We have worked through a criteria that includes the following:
A pastor, missionary or church planter.
Priority will be given to the Faith Baptist Pastors Fellowship - these are men and ministries that have come up as a direct result of the church planting ministry that we have been associated with here in Zambia.
Those who are alumni of Central Africa Baptist University who are in good standing with their respective church ministries.
Thank you for your efforts in this.  Phil, Philip S. Hunt  Philippians 1:20-21”

Please pray that funds will be available for further help to these Brothers in Christ through Phil Hunt.HuntH

God bless, from
