West Virginia Update

Sunday, July 3, 2016

Dear Friends,

ORH is always thankful for the volunteers that work so hard to accomplish the goals of our ministry.  They are very simple 1) win souls and bless churches, 2) Relieve suffering of all men wherever found, 3) Send part time and full time people around the world doing our first two goals.  (Matt. 9:35-38)  With this in mind, ORH needs help in WVA.  Pastor Guy Altizer sent the following for us to publish.

“Talked w/Terry Tickens of Eight Days of Hope ministries who is stripping Dorrine Goddard's house. They hope to be finished by Saturday night. A blessing is that the house has no insulation!  They strip and apply bleach for mildew & mold control. He said it would probably need to dry for a few days.

He will call or text me updates on the work. I asked them to try to do Fred Fryer's house. He is the pastor of Sewell Valley BC. They will try. If we could do these two, it would be a great blessing to that church and the church family.

Bro. Jan, If we can get workers, I could go to WVA on the 12th returning on the 18th.”

Please consider organizing 2 to 4 men work teams who can be self-sustained.  We do not want to increase the burden of those who are already burdened with living through the destruction of their homes.  Pastor Guy Altizer is considering taking his camper to the area so he can be self-sustained and help the people.

If you can help, please call Guy Altizer, Simpsonville, SC at 864-906-4647.

We still need several thousand dollars to support the work of Restore Ministries to repair the parsonages at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.  Workers have volunteered.

Also, Pastor Alan Jenkins, sent word that food had been delivered to the church and people in Birch Run.  He is now preparing another load to take to Clay County.  Pray for him.  He had to return to preach at Columbia Road Baptist Church, Cleveland, OH.

ORH says thank you to Florence Baptist Temple, Pleasant Grove Bible Church, Friendship Baptist Church, and individuals who have donated toward the work in WVA.

If you wish to give by check, please send the check to Operation Renewed Hope, P.O. Box 43242, Fayetteville, NC 28309.  Please designate the gift for your specific purpose.

God bless,

Jan Milton
