Dear Friends,
JOSEPH PROJECT – ORH-TELEHELP IN UGANDA WITH PASTOR
ZEBEDEE
The ORH-TELEHELP program has been a
channel of blessing to a remote mountain village outside of Kasese,
Uganda. There is no medical care in
this village, and during the pandemic precautions, travel is restricted.
Our first patient was an 80 years
old lady with shortness of breath. Pastor
Zebedee was able to arrange video consult by phone. Dr. Scott and Dr. Humphreys were able to
provide medical advice. Our hope is
to provide consultation by phone so they can work with a Doctor in Kasese
through Missionary Matt Stensaas.
Also, ORH hopes to train a village medical assistant to assist our ORH-TELEHELP
team to assist this village medically and spiritually. There are over 50 elderly and 350 children
needing consult.

Joseph Project – SEE THE MINISTRY FACE IN THE PHILIPPINES
ORH
was very grateful to Pastor Janel Nemeno for his effort to help the people
around his church, Bible Baptist Church,
in Binalbagan Negros Island, Philippines. Pastor Janel wrote us the following.
“Hello
Please pray for us here in Binalbagan Negros Island. We have 14 days
quarantine, many needy people, needy members who are in need of food. Please
pray for us and please extend some help for us to buy some food and
groceries. The people here they will not die of the virus but they will die
due to hunger. Our church was able to distribute 125 families with 10kls.
Rice and groceries but it’s not enough, people are keep coming and begging
for food. Please include us in your ministry. Thank you ORH and Sir Jan
Milton.”
After
receiving Pastor Janel’s request, ORH requested references which were
contacted. Then, ORH sent $500.00 to start food distribution. Pastor Janel was true to his word, sending
documentation back. When ORH received
his documentation for the first $500.00, another $500.00 was sent with the
same expectation of documentation.
Please read and
see complete documentation at this link.

UGANDA COVID 19 FOOD DISTRIBUTION
UGANDA FOOD DISTRIBUTION PICTURES
Though there have been no deaths in Uganda from COVID-19, people are having a hard time getting food and the necessities of life. Pray for our people that their trust in God will carry them through this situation. (It is interesting to note that more people have died trying to get to hospitals for other reasons under the lockdown than have died from the virus. It is truly sad.)
“Brother Jan, Thank you for your
continued prayers and support on behalf of the people of Uganda. The need for food during the current COVID-19
crisis is great. People are not able to
move about and therefore are restricted to their localities. Bags of rice or flour would go along way in
getting our people through this time of difficulty. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Brother Keith Stensaas”
THE PICTURES BELOW ARE FURTHER EXAMPLES OF FOOD DISTRIBUTION EFFORTS.
Pastor Paul distributing some of the food that ya’ll purchased for them. (PASTOR PAUL IS AN AMAZING PASTOR. HIS LEGS ARE NON-FUNCTIONAL. HIS MOTOR BIKE IS THE ONLY WAY HE CAN MOVE. BUT STILL IS HE ONE OF THE MOST ACTIVE PASTORS I HAVE EVER MET.- OPERATION RENEWED HOPE.)
THE PICTURES BELOW ARE FURTHER EXAMPLES OF FOOD DISTRIBUTION EFFORTS.
UGANDA - ORH-TELEHELP DURING COVID 19
PASTOR ZEBEDEE'S MINISTRY
In the picture on the right, Daniel Jones, PA, is in the top right corner with the orange shirt. As Dan talks, he sees his patient with Pastor Zebedee who is translating. The remainder of the picture is what Daniel sees as he talks to the lady and Pastor Zebedee.
This is the testimony of Pastor Zebedee,
"I started the aged ministry and I started it due to the encouragement I saw during your medical team that you brought in Kasese the love and care I saw in you to the sick, aged and helpless people, this encouraged me to start a new ministry at our Church and in our village called the aged and elderly ministry every year I always call them twice for aged conference and more than 100 elderly people attend and most of them have trusted the Lord as their saviour as a result of these conferences. And during this lockdown down i am visiting each one of them trying to encourage them, pray for them and live them with some gifts and some food to eat. And they have been blessed they have always told me that since they were born they had never seen a church like ours that cares and loves people like we do. I want to send you some of the pictures of my visit to these elderly people in my village showing them the love of Jesus."
"Thank you, i am now connected with Daniel Jones and tomorrow he will try to call me and talk with at least one of the patients. Thank you for having but our ministry on your heart and thank you for getting us some that we will be in touch with."
"Wow, this has been a blessing, the old woman has been telling
people who come to visit her about our church and the doctor who talked with
her while seeing him on a phone and she has been telling them that since she
was born she had never seen a church like ours which cares for the people.
And
it was a blessing for this old woman to ride with me on my old motorbike 13kms
to find a doctor who have some instruments that measures the blood pressure,
temperature, body weight, heart rate and respirations, she felt so so special
today, and praise the Lord I had a good time to share the gospel with her,
and
today she has trusted Jesus Christ as her Lord and personal saviour, what a
blessing."
"In addition to that most of the people who attended the
clinic that we had at Kasese got saved and some of them have been added to our church and some have gone to heaven to be with the Lord, and even now
other people are giving testimonies that the medicine they got from you people
while you were at Kasese has cured their sickness and diseases, and most people
have been asking me about that program about the medical team, and now after
people hearing from this old woman every one is now looking for me asking on
how they might be helped with their diseases.

In
Uganda, the country is locked down.
This puts many people in a difficult situation with food. Missionary Keith Stensaas wrote the
following concerning the needs.

“Brother
Jan, Thank you for your continued prayers and support on behalf of the people
of Uganda. The need for food during
the current COVID-19 crisis is great.
People are not able to move about and therefore are restricted to

appreciated!”
He
wrote about the expenditure of some of the funds already sent to him for
Uganda.
“Brother
Jan, We were able to get some money up to Pastor Kasajja there in
Kaliro. Attached is some of the maize
flour he was able to buy for his people.
I will send more picture as I get them as things begin to loosen up
there in Uganda. Thank you again for your giving to this need. Keith”
ORH
has sent $1000.00 at this time to help with food. Uganda will need more funds; pray that ORH
will be able to continue meeting the needs of the churches.

Joseph Project – Derek Thomas – Ministry Face in Laos
“Hello
Jan, I received the following report
of how the money was spent in Laos. A kip is 9500 to $1. We lost some money
in the transfer. We are trying to get a clearer breakdown of why the cost
were so high. It’s cheaper when we can send to Thailand and the pastor crosses
the border and gets the money there. But right now they cannot cross to
Thailand so the expense is a little more. I will send pictures in another
email.”
|
|
||
Derek sent this message from the Laotian Pastors.
“The love gift that you sent to us is 4,245,000 kip, We
bought rice 10 bags for 3,600,000 kip, noodles 10 boxes= 515,000 kip and eggs
15 panels = 490,000 kip, the total amount is 4,490,000 kip.”
Please
go to this link to see many who were helped by your gifts.
Please
pray for our Covid-19 efforts in India, Uganda, Ukraine, Liberia, Ghana, Pakistan,
Bangladesh, and Peru. Requests are coming each day from others.

LAKE MILTON BAPTIST TEMPLE TESTIMONY ABOUT COVID 19 FOOD PANTRY
Hello Bro. Jan,
Here is our testimony about the food pantry...
Our story for Amazing Grace Food Pantry, ministry of Lake Milton Baptist Temple, begins around 10 years ago. I was pastor at Mountain City Baptist Church where Brother Daniel Jones is pastor presently. Bro. Daniel started going on trips with Operation Renewed Hope and coming back and challenging us that there were two parts of reaching people, Preaching and also Caring. Jesus went about and helped people with the physical and spiritual. We truly only concentrated on the spiritual part.
God began to convict me about opening a food pantry. It did not come to pass in Tennessee, but when God called me to LMBT in Ohio the burden would become a reality. After praying about it for over a year God sent a man to our church that had the same burden. After many meetings we opened our doors in March 2019.
We knew that they need to hear the Gospel, but also they needed to see the Gospel in us as well. So we treat everyone that comes as an honored guest. They all hear a Gospel message through a video and will be offered Gospel Tracts and prayer. We have had few professions, but we are called to care if no one is saved. No one knew much about our church in the community, but they are slowly hearing about the church with the food pantry that cares. We pray Christ will be glorified!
Since March 2019, we have gradually seen a growth of the number of people coming through the pantry each month. We started with 40 families coming through and last month during the pandemic we had 185 families go through. It is an awesome opportunity for our church family to play a part in outreach. We have on average 30-40 volunteers every pantry day.
God has been so good to us to bring your ministry into our lives. Thanks for all you are doing here to the uttermost!
Matthew 5:14-"Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid."-By God's grace we will be seen showing Christ's love.

The church is so vital in society!
We are the salt and light of Jesus' declaration of ministry principles in the
