CAMEROON UPDATE

Thursday, January 17, 2019

Dear Friends,

Please read the communication below from Michael Herbster who solicited help for the family mentioned.  Please pray about these needs.  ORH has sent $1000.00 to help this family relocate out of danger.  Please download the PDF with the family picture.

"Felix Monju is a personal friend, pastor, and evangelist who is a national Cameroonian.  He is in the midst of the political crisis in Cameroon that cost the life of Missionary Charles Wesco.  This conflict has been enhanced by his death as well as the deaths of many others. Felix and his family are in harms-way and they have been displaced from his home and ministry.  He and his wife just had their third child and they are trying to flee for safety and ministry purposes to the neighboring country of Nigeria.  There he will be safe away from the fighting and can also minister to the refugee camps where many of his own people have fled too.  The 1000.00 that ORH is giving is to assist in the protection and continued safety of him, his wife and 3 children.  It is assisting in moving him to the safety of the neighboring country as soon as possible.  If there are any questions I would be glad to help answer them.  Michael Herbster, Southland Christian Ministries: Director"

MEDICAL MISSION SUMMIT 2019

Thursday, January 10, 2019

Dear Friends,

This is the second Medical Mission Summit.  Please send at least 2 young people to this event from your church or school.  ORH and Maranatha Baptist University are offering an opportunity to introduce youth to a medical career and missions.

Dr. Bud Steadman of Baptist World Mission will be the featured speaker at the event.  Three missionaries from Baptist World Mission engaged with ORH will be telling the young people of the value of medical missions in starting and maintaining churches.

In addition, there will be medical professionals giving hands-on breakout sessions for the youth in medical, dental, optometry, and more.  They will tell of their joy in serving the Lord in medical missions.

Help us reach 100 delegates this year.  Please, make copies of the attachment and distribute it to the young people.  Bring a group from your youth group, science class and Bible class for this very challenging event.

God bless you,

The Operation Renewed Hope Family Around the World!
