Dear Friends,
ORH just received this encouraging email from Pastor Gordon
Dickson, Calvary Baptist, Findlay, OH.
“Jan, Thank you for your help with the Calvary
Baptist Church of Clendenin, WV. Pastor Davis has been encouraged by your
gracious support.
The Elk River flood
that decimated this area makes it look like a war zone, but it is clear that
many of the people are rebuilding.
After the power was
restored to the church building a couple of weeks ago, we started running
powerful dehumidifiers, and those are still in operation on site. Yesterday,
the Grace Baptist Church of Bridgeport, WV led by Pastor Jeff Vaughan did a
wonderful job of advancing the project for us. After mold remediation was completed, they
were able to do the following:
Install the vapor
barrier in the crawlspace.
Install new framing
above the basement wall.
Scrub and vacuum all
the hard surfaces in auditorium and upper story (with an "air
scrubber" in use to capture all of the mold released into the air).
Please pray with us
about these next steps, which we would like to do this week if we have the
manpower.
Setting the HVAC
(heating, ventilation and air conditioning) units and wiring them up,
Installing ductwork
for the HVAC,
Installing electrical
sockets on the framing in the basement and wiring those up.
(We have access to a
certified electrician in the area who is willing to inspect and certify the
work of volunteers.)
Sincerely,
Gordon Dickson

ORH thanks Pastor Jeff Vaugh and his church for their
efforts with Pastor Dickson. If you can
send workers, please call Pastor Dickson.
They are doing a wonderful job.
Please pray for the people in Louisiana. ORH was contacted about a pastor with 8’ to
10’ of water in his home from the flooding there. We will get more information.
