Dear
Friends,
This
is a report received from Greg Rife, Restore Ministries, who is working to
restore the living quarters for the staff at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. Greg is a faithful and long-time friend of
ORH. In the last update, I reported that
we had sent $2500.00 for the work that Greg is doing. I hope that more will come in so that Greg
can finish all that the Lord has laid on his heart to do. The ORH goal was $10,000.00 to help Greg. Greg wrote the following.
“Hey bud. I'm here in
WV in Elk View at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church with a seven man team and have
been since the 8th. We've gutted, pressure washed, and bleached the youth
pastor's parsonage. We've done a couple days of debris removal and gutting in
the camp. The camp project will take over $100,000 to complete and months of
skilled labor. We've finished gutting, dry walled, trimmed, painted and
replaced the electrical components in the associate pastors parsonage. We
should complete flooring and touch ups by Saturday afternoon, completing the
home. We need to continue to raise money so that we can return and complete the
youth pastor's parsonage next.“
ORH
thanks Florence Baptist Temple, Floence, SC; Grace Memorial Baptist Church,
Bedford, VA; Emmanuel Independent Baptist Church, Winchester, VA; Friendship
Baptist Church, Raleigh, NC; Friendship Baptist Church, Zionville, NC; Ivy
Creek Baptist Church, Buford, GA; Crow Baptist Church, Daniels, WV; First Baptist
Church of Westwood Lake, Miami, FL; and to all the individuals that have made
it possible for the work of ORH in WV to continue by their gracious gifts.
ORH
could not begin to do the work of God without the selfless churches who help in
the work. Calvary Baptist Church,
Findlay, OH, is one more of those churches.
Pastor Gordon Dickson and his congregation are working with Pastor Shawn
Davis and Calvary Baptist Church in Clendenin, WV. They have made one trip already to the
location, and the church has agreed to work with ORH to help the church and pastor. ORH has agreed to provide an initial $6000.00
to aid in their efforts with the Church.
Pastor Dickson sent the following budget for the work.
Rough
Plan and Budget, Calvary Baptist Church, Clendenin, WV, Flood Restoration

HVAC units - Need $10, 600 / Now have $9000; Electrical Re-wiring Restoration -

It
has been the privilege of ORH to work with Calvary Baptist in Findlay and
Pastor Dickson since the early days of Hurricane Katrina. This is truly a servant oriented church. God bless and thank you Calvary, Findlay.
God is good; God’s
people are strong; the work of God is strong in the United States; and it is
time “to rise up and build.” To God be
all glory, lift high the cross of Christ!
