Dear Friends,
Please forgive the delay in issuing information on the West
Virginia flood situation. ORH personnel
were engaged in an evangelistic medical clinic in Albania with missionary Mike
Fioochi. Mike is starting a new church
an asked ORH to help with the effort.
ORH is always glad to help missionaries reach people medically and with
the Gospel.
Below is a message from Jonathan Cleghorn in Clendenin,
WV. He is a member of Calvary Baptist
Church, Pastor Shawn Davis. Jonathan’s father
is a pastor in the state of Washington. Jonathan asked ORH to publish this appeal for
help. Please read the appeal.
“Pastor Milton, here
is the email describing what we are thinking about the trailer. If you have any
questions, call/text me or reply to this email. I appreciate your help! Jonathan
Having a small or
medium size trailer (15-25 feet) would allow us to stay on our property until
we have the house fixed up enough to move back in, rather than having to rent
another house 30 minutes away.
Because of the
magnitude of the repairs needed, it will be two or three months at the earliest
that we can move back in; if we can stay on the property it will allow me to
work on the house in my spare time and thus complete repairs somewhat faster.
We are looking for a
trailer to borrow or rent at less than market price.
-It would need to be
able to sleep two adults (my wife and I) and two kids (5 and three year old
boys), with room for a pack-n-play for the baby girl to sleep in.
-My wife has asthma,
so it is important that the trailer not have mold problems.
-There is a
functioning bathroom in our house, so we do not plan on using the bathroom in
the trailer.
-I have a GMC Yukon
with a ball hitch; its towing capacity is 8,000 lbs. If necessary, I can make
arrangements to pick the trailer up.”
ORH cannot be a go-between for Jonathan and anyone willing to help his family. Anyone wishing to help this young man should contact him directly at (jonathan.cleghorn@gmail.com) or (509) 690-8475. All arrangements must be made with Jonathan exclusive of ORH.
The work continues at many locations. Operation Renewed Hope just sent $2500.00 to
Restore Ministries, Greg Rife. Greg’s
ministry has been working to restore housing on the property of Mount Pleasant
Baptist Church in Elkview, WV. Restore
Ministries has formed work teams and fund raised several thousand dollars for
the work at Mount Pleasant. It is a
pleasure to share ORH funds with Restore Ministry efforts.
If
you wish to give by check, please send the check to Operation Renewed Hope,
P.O. Box 43242, Fayetteville, NC 28309.
Please designate the gift for your specific purpose.
God
bless,
Jan
