Hurricane Florence

This communication came from Pastor Monty Kaufman of Grace Baptist Church in Wilmington, NC.  It was a blessing to read.

“Jan, I just wanted to thank you again for providing the food and travel resources for Durham Rescue Mission to be able to cook meals for the Burgaw community (NE Cape Fear River) this past week. This community still does not have electricity so these meal times have become a time for this community to gather and encourage each other, as well as share needs that outside groups can help meet. I have received many text messages and facebook posts thanking DRM for their investment of love into this community.  There have already been several gospel opportunities because of these meals, and there will be many more gospel opportunities in the coming days/weeks/months because of this connection!”

ORH, through your gifts, was privileged to provide $1500.00 for food products and transportation for Durham Rescue Mission personnel to provide hot meals, encouragement, and the Gospel.

Albania

Missionaries Michael and Jennifer Fiocchi sent this report to ORH about a lady, Flora, in their church who is having double hip replacement surgery. 

“Jan, as I write Flora is being operated on,  It was just a blessing to hand her husband the money to pay.  We had prayer and went downstairs for coffee with Flora’s father, Pjetri.  Praise the Lord its like living a dream.”

“Amen!  You may remember her husband is Muslim, but he let me pray over her.  Flora and the kids have all made a profession of faith in Christ.”

“….  We have called it a miracle amount of money because none of us had it.”

ORH was provided the opportunity to send Brother Fiocchi $2500.00 for this surgery. God provided the church in Lacknas a total of $10,000.00 to help Flora.  Mike calls it a true miracle.  Mike’s church was the site of a major medical clinic with ORH.
