Lebanon Syrian Refugees

The work in Lebanon among the Syrian refugees is an ever-increasing effort.  Thank God for the work of Sam Strickland and Pastor Karim Dahdah, Gospel Baptist Church in Zahle, Lebanon.  Please read the report below.

“Dear Bro. Jan,  This is in follow-up to the 19 photos I forwarded you from Pastor Karim, Gospel Baptist Church, Zahle, Lebanon.

Every time I send pictures to you I start to cry when I see the faces of so many of these dear people who I personally know. I want to thank you and ORH for helping these people who have been displaced from their homes in Syria and lost everything.

Many of them have come to know Christ as their Savior and they faithfully attend Gospel Baptist Church.

The man in the 4th picture is a former Sunni Muslim that I led to the Lord a little over a year ago. His brother has threatened to behead him and his mother has disowned him. He used to own a factory that made women's and children's clothing in Syria. He now works a manual job to try to provide for his wife and five children. He faithfully attends the church.  His wife is not yet a believer, but she is beginning to come around.  They have invited me to come to their home for a meal when I am there in August.

The man kneeling in picture number 7 is also a converted Sunni Muslim.  His wife, who is now a believer, and his three daughters faithfully attend the church.  When I first met them, his wife was in process of divorcing him because he was a believer.

The Lord is at work in the Middle East!  Thanks again!  Sincerely, Sam”

Please download the PDF for pictures of the work in Zahle.

ORH has committed another $1000.00 by August 1, 2017 to buy more food vouchers.  By your efforts, these people are seeing the difference between religions armed with weapons and the truth of God’s abundant love to all men.  Help us to keep this going.  Over 1.4 million refugees came out of Syria.  The Church can do its part to give a helping hand and the Gospel.
