“Typhoon Hagupit”
Dear Friends,
We just received this report from Jim Latzko, a missionary
we helped in the last typhoon.
“Dear Jan, Thanks, I received your e-mail. It
is 1:40 PM. Typhoon is supposed to be at its height at 8 PM to 2
AM. We are about 120 miles south of the center of the typhoon. It
is expected to pass through Eastern Samar and Northern Samar. Our pastor
and his wife in Oras, Eastern Samar evacuated to a school. There is
already some flooding in Oras, according to her text message. Tacloban
seems to be OK at the moment, according to a text from a friend. This
typhoon, though not as strong as the last one, is moving very slowly, so there
is more time for the wind to do damage. I will definitely keep you
informed. Jim”
Please pray. This missionary and his churches are
possibly at the strongest point of the Typhoon.
As information comes we will contact you. Thank you
for helping ORH.
God bless,
Jan Milton
