"Malawi Hope"
Wednesday, February 13, 2013
Dear Friends,
This report came in after the appeal for help from Dr. Chapman
concerning the famine stricken churches in Malawi. ORH wishes to thank First
Baptist Church of Glen Este for their generous donation. The church and its
pastor, Brent Snook, has been wonderful friend of ORH.
Others have helped, and we thank you so much. Please read the
report of the blessings.
"Dear Friends,
I have been so blessed by the out pouring of love and concern for the Christian brothers and sisters in Malawi. So many of you have given to help alleviate the famine that is gripping Malawi right now. Stephanie and I have been overwhelmed with your generosity and the people there will be also.

Yesterday we wired the funds that have come in to date so that our
team on the ground can start purchasing and distributing the food to the
churches. Please know we have taken every precaution to assure that this food
reaches those that need it most; I hope to receive some photos of the
distribution and will post those in future letters. We will send another wire
around the first of March with the remainder of the funds that have yet to come
in. I have received emails and calls of more offerings that churches and individuals
are sending."
Pray for these dear brothers and sisters in Christ. We in American
cannot even imagine the horror of being without food when a famine is brought
on by climatic conditions that destroy the ability to produce food. I am
thankful that our hearts make up that difference.
"Sandy" Relief
This is a report from Pastor Nate Watkins of Repentance Baptist
Church. Pastor Watkins has been working to help the people of Staten Island
since the very first day of "Sandy". This email came in last week. I
am sorry that we could not get it to you sooner.
"Hi Jan,
THANK-YOU for the funds you have sent and your notes of encouragement… God has been blessing the ministry to hurricane victims… recently, we have seen two men (one Puerto Rican and one Italian) come to know Him… the Italian's "wife" is expecting their third child (there's a fourth from a previous marriage), and because they just found out it's a girl, she wants to give her up for adoption. He texted me this morning to see if I could talk to them today, so they are coming for lunch in about 15 minutes. Please pray first of all for her salvation and for wisdom in helping them thru the many issues in their relationship.
May the Lord richly bless you as you continue to faithfully serve Him."

Please pray that these men will be able to meet the needs of the
"Sandy" victims because of your help, and that many will respond to
the gospel. We must touch their hearts and reach their souls.
God bless,
Jan Milton
